Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, update your profile, or communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, trading preferences, and — only if you opt into SMS alerts — your mobile phone number.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, to communicate with you, and to monitor and analyze trends and usage.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
Analytics, Cookies, and Tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use George. Google acts as our analytics sub-processor and may set cookies in your browser including _ga (visitor identification), _ga_* (session identification), and related identifiers. We report subscription purchases and refunds to Google Analytics from our servers so that conversions are attributed to the originating visit; these reports carry your internal account identifier and the amount paid, never your name, email, or card details — and they are not sent at all if you have declined analytics while signed in.
EU / UK / EEA / Swiss visitors: we ask for opt-in consent before any analytics cookies are set. A banner appears on your first visit; until you Accept, no _ga* cookies are written and no events are sent to Google. You can change your decision at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the page footer. Other visitors: analytics are enabled by default; use the same footer link to opt out. Consent log: when you accept or decline we keep a record of the choice (the choice, the time, the banner version, your country code, your browser’s user-agent string and a salted, truncated hash of your IP address — not the address itself) for 13 months, as the law requires us to be able to show consent was given. Retention: Google retains the underlying event data for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Right to access / erasure: EU / UK / California residents may request a copy or deletion of their data at any time — email hello@georgefi.trade from the address associated with your account.
Marketing Use of Community Content
We may use content you post in George FI Corporation-operated Discord servers — including messages, screenshots, and reactions — for marketing and promotional purposes, including on social media platforms. The operative license is granted under Terms of Service §7.
Anonymized use: we may reference your content with identifying details removed (username, avatar, specific dollar amounts) without further notice. Identifiable use: we will not name you, show your username/avatar, or republish your specific financial circumstances in external marketing without your separate, affirmative consent. Withdrawal: you may request removal of identifiable content previously consented to by emailing hello@georgefi.trade — we will remove it from materials under our control within a reasonable period, but cannot retract content already distributed by third parties. EU / UK / California residents: additional rights apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA / CPRA, including the right to access, rectify, delete, or object to processing of your personal data. SMS Alerts & Phone Numbers
If you opt into George FI Corporation Trade Alerts (our SMS program, operated by George FI Corporation), we collect and store your mobile phone number together with a record of your consent (what you agreed to, and when). We use your number solely to send the verification code and the trade-alert messages you subscribed to — never for marketing texts, and we do not sell or share your number with third parties for their own marketing.
Processing: messages are delivered through Twilio Inc., acting as our SMS service processor; your number and message content are shared with Twilio only as required to deliver the service. Retention & deletion: removing your number from your account page deletes it from our records; a rolling 30-day delivery log (used for cost caps and abuse prevention) expires automatically. Texting STOP pauses all alert messages immediately. Your rights: the access, rectification, and deletion rights described in Section 5 apply equally to SMS data.
